When we’re low on energy and inspiration, our lives can feel like a race to the
bottom. To compensate, we often find ourselves running to the very habits that
drain us. We forget that embracing a regular spiritual practice can provide us with
all the ground we need to restore our natural sense of wonder.
This 5-week course shows us that, while challenges are always arising, when we
fortify ourselves with simple enjoyment of ourselves, others, and the world around
us, our lives take on a refreshing, ordinary joyfulness.By letting go of the struggle
to be something "better," we can make space for our inherently intelligent,
compassionate, and strong nature to flourish.
Throughout the course, we will deepen our understanding the connection between
routine and joy and deepen our relationship with the practice of loving-kindness

Jesse Miller has been a student of Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche and Sakyong Mipham
Rinpoche for over thirty years and has been directing Shambhala Training programs since
1991. A member of the Berkeley Shambhala Center, Jesse is a regular yearly visitor and
much loved teacher in New Zealand.
